پس از درخشش اسنپ دراگون 800 این سری پردازنده قصد دار تا با محصول بعدی خود بیش از پیش بدرخشد و کیفیت Ultra HD را نیز به دستگاه‌های موبایل بیفزاید. چیپ‌ست‌های 805 سری اسنپ دراگون به دستگاه اجازه می‌دهند تا از رزولوشن تصویری و ویدیویی 4000 پیکسل پشتیبانی کنند. این امکان به سادگی به کمک این پردازنده مهیا خواهد بود و به هیچ عنوان فشار زیادی به دستگاه نخواهد آمد. پرازنده گرافیکی مکمل اسنپ دراگون 805 مدل آدرنو 420 خواهد بود که از نسل قبلی خود 40 درصد بهتر عمل خواهد نمود.کوالکام همچنین اعلام کرده است که پردازنده اسنپ دراگون 805 نخستین پردازنده همراه در تاریخ خواهد بو که در هر هسته خود 2.5 گیگاهرتز سرعت اجرا را خواهد داشت. این پردازنده با داشتن چهار هسته می‌تواند در بهترین حالت سرعت شگفت آور تبادل داده با حافظه را به میزان 25.6 گیگابایت بر ثانیه افزایش دهد که به عملکرد بهتر و روان‌تر گوشی منجر خواهد شد.
